It was decades ago that I was first fascinated by theories from East Asian medicine. My introduction was through acupressure and reflexology. I was drawn to the potential of our bodies to respond positively to attention to these points that were mapped out thousands of years ago. This curiosity guided me to acupuncture and East Asian medicine. I received my Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from The Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine and am credentialed with the State of Washington as a Licensed Acupuncturist and East Asian Medical Practitioner.
My mission in practice is to be a reliable facilitator for each of my patients. It is my intent that their healthcare goals come first in each decision I make. I feel that this approach is sometimes lost in the medical world in its current state. I work hard to foster an environment of inclusion and belonging with my patients, who all know that their health is my priority, regardless of age, race, gender, national origin, religion, physical or mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy, marital status or sexual orientation.
My background as a musician and mortgage professional inform my focus on detail and conscientious attention toward finding the best solution whenever possible. I’ve spent twenty years living in Seattle, with the past nine in West Seattle, and am continuously enchanted by the natural beauty of this area. What impresses me even more is the willingness my friends and neighbors show in their work to protect the environment we are lucky enough to enjoy.
